School of Distinction for the 2010-2011 School Year – To be recognized, a school must meet the requirement of 80% or higher passing grade on all End of Year Tests.  We are proud of our teachers and students for achieving this goal and are proud that Weatherstone has consistently met and exceeded the high growth standard set by the state of North Carolina.

The following data is based on 104 elementary schools in Wake County.  Weatherstone Elementary School proudly ranks among the top 10 in all of the educational bench marks set up by Wake County.
• 1st in the % of students that met growth target for reading, grade 5
• 4th in the % of students that met growth target for math, grade 5
• 6th in Level IV students that met growth target for math, grades 3-5
• 6th in Level IV, not AIG students, that met growth target for math, grades 3-5
• 7th for Level IV, not AIG students, that met growth for reading, grades 3-5
• 9th for Level III students that met growth target for reading, grades 3-5
• 9th for Hispanic/ Latino, % that met growth target for reading, grades 3-5

• 1st in academic change for grades 3-5 reading and math
