HOBEY FORD- Internationally award-winning performer, Kennedy Center Partner in Education teaching artist, recognized master puppeteer, and Asheville NC resident Ford often adapts folk cultures and tales from various countries for his performances, always adding a special “Golden Rod” twist. Ford has brought his amazing talent to family audiences all over the world for over two decades and has received the highest awards for his priceless contributions to the world of puppetry.

“Animalia” is a puppetry ballet of animal creatures called the “Foamies”. The “Foamies” are incredibly realistic animal puppets created by Hobey Ford for the finales of his previous shows. Now he has devoted a whole performance to these wonderfully animated creatures. The show explores the beauty and movement of whales, dolphins, birds, butterflies, wolves, and a menagerie of other animal creatures.
