iNIGHT at WES

February 28th, 6-7 p.m.

Take a trip around the world without leaving your school.  Weatherstone Elementary is proud to present International Night at WES!  We invite the entire school community to join us in celebrating the many cultures at our school and in our community.  Students will receive a ‘passport’ to be stamped by ‘customs’ at each country table as they ‘travel’ and learn about the many cultures that make up our WES family.

PLANNED EVENTS

World Parade – bring your child dressed in your cultural attire for a parade

World Map – pin your country of birth on the map and show us where you’re from

Country Exhibits – ‘travel’ around the world as you view and learn about different cultures through videos, cultural items, pictures, games and customs

International Arts – show the richness of cultural diversity through music, dance or arts

International Food Fest – come taste treats from around the world

This event can’t happen without you, our WES Family.  Get involved and here’s the list of volunteers needed.  Contact Chetna Tailor here if you have questions… WES needs you!  You can also adopt a country if you wish… The more we explore, the more we will learn!
