That’s what Weatherstone’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is really about. It’s about creating connections and building a community here at Weatherstone. It’s about having a voice in what goes on at your school. It’s about knowing what’s going on and how you can be a part of it. And it’s about creating opportunities for partnership and involvement in your child’s classroom.
It’s no surprise that when you’re involved in your child’s school and when you partner with your child’s teachers — your child benefits. But what you might not realize is that through your involvement – our whole school benefits – every child, every teacher and every family.
Joining the PTA is a vote of confidence in what we’re doing. It is not necessarily a volunteer commitment – though we have many opportunities if you have the time! When you become a member, you give whatever you can of your time, money and resources. So, I challenge you to be a part of making our school the best it can be by joining the PTA, subscribing to our e-newsletter, visiting our Web site, and coming to our meetings. There is something for everyone at the WES PTA!
I’m Beth Satterfield, and I’m privileged to be serving my second year as our PTA President. I’m excited about welcoming you to a new school year, and if you’re new to WES – I welcome you to the Weatherstone family! Explore our brand new (and being developed as we speak) Web site, and find out what’s going on at Weatherstone. I love to hear about your experiences and ideas, so feel free to contact me or use the general contact form below. Hope to meet you soon!
